To consider how DLABC should respond to the increase of COVID-19 infection rates, the Advisory Board met also with Pastor Tom on Friday afternoon. After very careful consideration, the team decided for DLABC to continue in-person services, instead of changing to just virtual. And it was decided to temporarily suspend the Coffee Hour and Sunday School. To enable to continue live services, we would respectfully ask church members to increase their level of caution, and to follow established practices used previously in Dec 2020 as provided below. The need for increased protection practices will be evaluated every week; and it’s expected and hoped they could be reduced sometime in February or March of 2022.
i) Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
ii) Please remember to wear masks to reduce transmission, not only for yourself but also to protect others in case you have mild or no symptoms and would still be contagious. Surgical masks will be made available to anybody who needs them; please ask to the ushers.
iii) For hymns, please sing or hum very softly, to reduce large outflow of lung air
iv) The service time will be reduced to ~ 30 min or less
v) If you have any illness symptoms that could indicate COVID-19 infection, we would ask that you please consider to stay home and attend services virtually online.
Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate your assistance.
