Many years ago, Dorthea Denman had a dream to have a Library at Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church. She acquired many books which she carefully cataloged according to the Dewey Decimal System and arranged them in a sunny room in our lower level. There are religious books, fiction, non-fiction, history, and children's books. She faithfully greeted young and old to her library every Sunday. It brought her great joy to have folks borrow books from her shelves.
Her tradition continues even today. Jerri Wood now maintains our Library and often selects books to bring upstairs to display on her library cart for self-checkout. If there is a book you are interested in and you are unable to go downstairs to the Library she can make arrangements get if for you. Our library on the lower level is open every Sunday for self-checkout of books.
