The Board of Christian Education here at Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church has always put a high priority on outreach for children in the community including Vacation Bible School, Church Camp, and Back to School Carnivals where we have given away school supplies. This year, we learned of a need for new shoes and socks at Southdale school. We have started an ongoing program to provide shoes and socks to the school. In the end of Aug. 2022, we delivered 27 pairs of shoes and 49 pairs of socks in various childrens sizes. The school will give those out as needed. We would like to keep them supplied with shoes and socks, so we will continue to collect toward this mission.
