Church Picnic! All are Invited!
What?
Combined Church Picnic with First Baptist Church Dayton and Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church
When?
June 22, 2025, immediately following morning worship services at church. Meal will begin at 1:00 pm.
Where?
Oak Grove Park, Shelter at Feldman Pond
1790 Social Row Rd., Centerville, Ohio
Directions: allow 25 minutes for the drive
- Right turn out of the church parking lot
- Right turn on Far Hills/Rt 48 and drive 8 miles, going through Centerville
- Turn Left onto E. Social Row Rd, go 1.7 miles
- Turn right into park (lots of sports fields)
- Turn Left and follow road through parking area to large parking lot near the shelter and the pond.
What to bring?
Bring a covered dish or dessert to share (First Baptist is providing hamburgers and hotdogs)
Lawn chair
Lawn games - Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, etc.
What else?
Portable restrooms are nearby
Access to shelter is flat (no steps) and near parking
Bring fishing poles and bait if you wish to fish
Playground is nearby

ABWM News
Picnic for all women will be June 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Joyce Kelley at
3097 Leonora Drive, Kettering. Please bring a dish to share. Dessert and drinks will be
provided. Flo Smith-Heizer will provide the devotions.
We had 27 ladies at the All Daughter’s Luncheon. We thank Linda Emmons, Connie Sinks, Judy Teeters and Jerri Wood who were on the planning team.
FYI the ABWM of Ohio Spring Conference will be on June 7 at First Baptist Church in Newark. Sarah McCurdy will be the Bible Study Leader. The new state project will be introduced and the 2024 Project will be awarded a check. Care & Share Recipients will be introduced.
We turned in pull tabs at the 2025 Tab a Pullooza and had 4.62 pounds of tab. Thanks to all who continue to save these for Ronald McDonald House.
We continue to support the Alliance Stamp Ministry in Fort Myers, Florida. This ministry raises money from resale of the stamps and goes to support preparation, publication and distribution of Spanish curriculum for Sunday School countries in Latin America, Spain and even USA. The ministry began in 1972 and with God’s help reached one million dollars by July 2018. As of the end of April 2025, $14,000 has been generated in the first four months of 2025. You can donate your used stamps in the container in the Giving Center in Fellowship Hall. Thank you for caring and saving.
Men’s Fellowship
The men’s fellowship meets for lunch at 11:00 am on the 2nd Friday of
the month, at the Bob Evans on the corner of Linden and Woodman.
It’s a wonderful time to meet and discuss, and Pastor Bob Heizer gives
heartfelt prayers for all. It’s a blessing Bob is sharing his pastoral gifts
for the Men’s Fellowship. All are welcome to join.
Rummage Sale!
Mark your calendars for the rummage sale! We are collecting items to sell so clean out your closets and garages. This year, we will be cleaning out some rooms in the church basement and including various items in the sale.
